LAVIS DES ALPES

Sélection 2026 Prix du livre de montagne

“Footsteps in the snow. She moves forward without hesitation. Grounded, fully present. Her gaze, however, is fixed on the peaks, the ridgelines, the horizon. She stops. Takes out a notebook or a roll of drawing paper, a trimmed bamboo reed, a watercolor brush, a little ink. Now. This line, these rocks, these trees, this slope.”
These are the words with which French writer Gaëlle Josse opens my monograph.
Gaëlle Josse, a French author renowned for her poetic style, a Knight of the Légion d’honneur, whose books have been translated into many languages, did me the great honor of writing several texts inspired by my work as a painter.
These beautiful writings accompany the 80 works reproduced in my book, Lavis des Alpes, published by Glénat.
I am deeply moved and delighted to share with you this encounter between her words and my works.
The press has taken notice:
“To open this book is to give time to beauty.”
Montagnes Magazine, No. 545, December 2025
“An invitation to contemplate the beauty of the world.”
Elle Suisse, December 24, 2025

A bit of reading and an invitation to a pictorial walk :
"Des rives et des crêtes"
A Korean artist in the Léman Alps
Published by Éditions

"Inspired by the Alpine landscapes of Lake Geneva, South Korean artist Ji-Young Demol Park paints the contrasts and panoramas of the lake.
This series of paintings, created with Chinese ink and watercolor, conveys—rather than simply represents—the serenity and fascination that the delicate balance of water, mountains, and sky exerts on the viewer.
A contemplative and sensory work of rare aesthetic."
